What To Expect During Your First Visit
At NAMS, we provide comprehensive care for individuals struggling with addiction. At your first appointment, you will meet with a doctor and a counsellor for a thorough assessment. This helps us understand your specific needs and create a personalised treatment and recovery plan for you. We encourage your loved ones to join in this process, so they will be well-equipped to support you throughout your recovery journey.
Making an Appointment
Individuals seeking support for addiction may book an appointment directly with our specialist at NAMS. To schedule an appointment, please call 6389 2200 or submit an online
Appointment Request Form.
Please note that direct appointments are considered self-referrals and are not eligible for government subsidies.
To qualify for subsidised consultation and treatment at NAMS, a referral from polyclinic,
CHAS clinic (only if the person is a CHAS cardholder) or restructured hospital is required.
Walk-in Services
We offer walk-in services during our operating hours for individuals who may require more immediate assistance. Please note that walk-ins are considered self-referrals, and therefore not eligible for government subsidies.
A referral from a polyclinic,
CHAS clinic (only if the person is a CHAS cardholder) or restructured hospital is required if you wish to receive government subsidy for your consultation/treatment at NAMS.
Choice of Doctor
Patients who are referred from a polyclinic, CHAS clinic or restructured hospital under the subsidised fee scheme will be assigned a doctor by the clinic. Those who wish to consult a specific doctor (preferred doctor) will have to pay non-subsidised rates.
