Tea Breaks:

Two tea breaks per day will be provided.

Lunch will not be provided and participants can make their way to the canteen or nearby food courts/coffee shops

Synopsis:Problem gambling occurs when one continues to invest time and money on the habit despite experiencing harmful negative consequences. This workshop will discuss the definition and theoretical foundations of problem gambling, including the signs, symptoms and consequences. Participants will be given an overview of the psychological interventions and social support available for help-seeking gamblers and their families. There will also be reference to specific interventions that helps to motivate gamblers to seek help and keep them engaged in treatment.
Suitable For:Healthcare professionals working with Family Service Centres (FSC) or anyone who needs to help people with gambling problems.
